We are delighted that the Sir William and Lady leech Charities have donated £5,000 to our Raise the Roof Appeal to provide a new roof King Jesus Charity Home and we cannot thank the trustees enough for their continuing support for our charity.

The Leech Charities have helped us in the past with building expenses, most recently providing £4,000 to renovate the old classrooms to provide a much needed dining hall/activity room, office accommodation, a sick bay and staff accommodation.  This latest grant will make a huge difference to the children who will no longer be troubled by water seeping through the roof into their dormitories and they will be able to have functioning lights and fans in their rooms.

This donation brings the total in the Raise the Roof fund to £6,387.34 – just £3,612.66 to go before we hit our £10,000 target.

If you would like to help, you can donate online at https://www.mydonate.bt.com/events/raisetheroofatkjch or send a cheque payable to Ghanaian Children’s Trust to 6 Kirkstone Gardens, High Heaton, Newcastle upon Tyne NE7 7AN.  Please mark the envelope “Roof Appeal”.  Thank you.
