Thanks to a very generous donation from an American lady, the old classroom block that is being converted into a dining hall/activity room, sick bay, computer room and staff quarters now has a roof. The walls have also been plastered and painted. The jobs remaining to be done include putting in the ceilings, electric wiring, tiling the floors, and fixing mosquito netting at the windows. These tasks will be completed bit by bit when funds become available.
GCT’s first priorities have to be paying school fees and buying food, so work on the classroom block has to take a back seat, despite the fact it is very much needed. Unfortunately we are always in a position of having to prioritise where our funds will be spent to meet the most urgent needs.
