Thank you to everybody who supported our annual dinner on 12 November. We had a lovely, relaxed, friendly evening with good company and great food and raised £555.60 for our charity. In addition we received £153 in donations from loyal supporters, making the whole event a resounding success. Thanks also to the efficient, friendly staff at City of Newcastle Golf Club and particularly the chef for a delicious meal.
One of our trustees, Jean, who recently visited King Jesus Charity Home, explained that the orphanage is currently very short of food, so the money raised is urgently needed to ensure the children get properly fed.
