As we bundle up against the cold, icy, wet and windy weather here in Newcastle—grateful when the sun appears, even if it brings no warmth—it’s easy to imagine the bright sunshine in Kumasi, Ghana. But while the days at King Jesus Charity Home (KJCH) may be warmer, life there is far from easy.
Caring for more than 100 children and young people is a tremendous task. Every day brings new challenges and constant worries: ensuring there is enough food, providing a safe and nurturing home, and giving each child the education and training they need to grow into independent, confident adults with a valued place in society.
Bishop Kofi, his family, and the dedicated staff at KJCH pour their hearts into creating a loving, supportive environment for the children. But meeting their everyday physical needs is an ongoing struggle, made even harder by limited funds.
That’s where we at the Ghanaian Children’s Trust can make a real difference. And we can only do it because of the incredible generosity of those who donate, fundraise, and stand alongside us. Your support truly changes lives.
If you’d like to help us continue providing hope and opportunity to the children of KJCH, please email us at childrenstrust@yahoo.com or call (UK) 0191 2816493. The phone isn’t staffed around the clock, but if you leave a message, we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
Together, we can brighten futures—no matter the weather.
