Putting on a brave face
Hepatitis B vaccination of all 110 children and staff at King Jesus Charity Home is now complete and a programme has been set in place to ensure the younger children will be vaccinated when they reach 5 years of age. Newcomers to the orphanage will also be vaccinated as necessary and any children still in the orphanage in 10 years’ time will receive their booster. Our thanks to everybody who donated money to make this possible, and to the excellent nursing staff from Manhyia Clinic, Kumasi, who paid many visits to King Jesus Charity Home to ensure the vaccination programme was carried out efficiently – their patience and kindness were outstanding.
