We have had large donations of new and used baby clothes and blankets, more than are needed at King Jesus Charity Home, so some of these will be donated to the Maternity Department at Kumasi South Hospital. Frequently mothers arrive at the department when they are in labour and have no clothing at all for their new baby. Some are homeless or extremely poor and rely on the other new mothers or the nurses to give them clothing and nappies for their babies. This is not always possible and by donating clothing and blankets we can at least ensure the babies will be kept warm during their first vulnerable weeks of life.
