Saturday 1 June 2019 will see our garden full of people enjoying good food, good company and raising funds for GCT.  Come along any time between 10.30 am and 3.00 pm and treat yourself to home made scones and cakes, have a go on the tombola and raffle, browse our book stall, meet our trustees and find out what our charity is all about. Great North Run 2019

To reserve a place, please contact childrenstrust@yahoo.com for further information.  We will require an upfront payment of £80 to cover what the charity has paid the race organisers for the place, and we are hoping you will be able to raise a further £150 minimum in sponsorship although, of course, the more you can raise the better....

Agnes’ story

Agnes is a 25 year old woman who, thanks to the support of the Ghanaian Children’s Trust, has had her life turned around. Moses Danso-Afriyie is a young man who was born about 32 years ago in a small community known as Kwamang within the Bekwai Municipality of the Ashanti Region of Ghana.  He is a teacher by profession, who has been teaching Information and Communication Technology for the past 9 years at the Junior High School Level in Ghana. New Roof Completed!

We have some great news!  The orphanage building now has a roof.  However, this is just the start of the work.  Years of being left at the mercy of the elements has damaged walls and ceilings.  We need to repair these quickly to make sure that the rooms are habitable.  One end of the upper storey is incomplete and needs windows, doors, plastering, tiling, electrics and painting, all to be done when funds become available.
