Another successful dinner on 14 October

Once again, our annual dinner was a great success, raising £733.50.  Thank you to everybody who attended and contributed to a lovely evening.  Thanks also to the brilliant staff at the City of Newcastle Golf Club, especially chef Gavin who produced a fantastic meal, truly delicious.  Role on next year’s event!

Congratulations to our Great North Run runners

Congratulations to Stephen, Michelle, Jennifer and Shona on completing the Great North Run to raise funds for the Ghanaian Children’s Trust.  They are now collecting in their sponsorship money  which will swiftly be sent to Ghana to help feed, educate and care for the children.

Gosforth Park First School come up trumps again!

GCT has received a cheque for £2,023.18 from Gosforth Park School.  The money has been raised over the past year by staff, pupils and parents at the school and is a tremendous effort and will be of enormous benefit to the children in Ghana.  In addition they pupils have donated huge quantities of clothes, shoes, books and toys to be shipped to King Jesus Charity Home in Kumasi, Ghana.  This is a fantastic effort by the school.  Many of the fundraising ideas came from the children themselves...

Trustee’s report from Ghana

Our trustee, Jean Edusei, visited King Jesus Charity Home this week and has sent this report: “I visited KJCH and was delighted to see that all the children and staff are well and very happy.  There is enough food, thanks to local churches and people making donations, and to the money the Ghanaian Children’s Trust has been sending (a total of £9,500 since 1 January 2017).  The kindergarten, primary and junior high school pupils have all moved to a new school, Mispah Mission School,...
